Rare Pro Ecclesia & Pontifice Decoration - given by Pope Pius XII & "Coronation of the Virgin", after Fra Angelico, color print on woven paper, approx. 12 w x 14 h". This rare document is an decoration given by the Roman Catholic Church in Roma, know as the "Decoration of Honour". Written in Latin, it's currently conferred for distinguished service to the church by lay people and clergy. It was personally delivered by Pope Pius XII (1939-1958) on April 6, 1951, and signed by his principal secretary, J. B. Montini.
