This artist may have been a close university friend of the Michener’s as he also graduated from the University of Minnesota with an MFA in 1964 and according to Sally’s daughter Katy Michener was shot and killed while driving his taxi in New York City during the mid 1990’s.
Robert Michener, celebrated for his dynamic abstract works, significantly influenced modern art with his masterful interplay of color and texture, earning a prominent place in art history. In 2013, his paintings "Fly Fishing mid-May", dated 1996, and "Gentle on My Mind", dated 1970, were donated to the Surrey Art Gallery and were designated cultural property under the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board as significant works of art.

Payment Details:
After the completion of the auction, the credit card on file of the successful bidders will be charged automatically and bidders will be emailed an invoice.
All successful bidders have entered into a contract and are obliged to pay for all successfully awarded items in full within 24 hours upon receipt of the winning notification email.
The bidder can also pay in person at the time of the pick up ONLY if prior arrangements with the auctioneer have been made.
